In a regional first, BDI has teamed up with world-leading advisory firm Water Street Partners to hold a workshop on JV board directorship. This one-day workshop will guide you through the unique responsibilities and challenges of JV board directorship.

Oftentimes JV boards present challenges for which few directors are prepared. New JV board directors must understand how to artfully manage commercial conflicts of interest. They must learn how to exercise influence over a business or asset that they do not control, and collectively steer management without being individually directive. And they must be prepared to forcefully champion the venture within their own company – securing skills and resources. The BDI’s JV directorship will work with you to learn to how to negotiate these challenges and reap optimum results for your career and your organization.

This GCC BDI workshop will be led by Water Street director, Geoff Walker, and Jane Valls, GCC BDI Executive Director, both with long experience in board strategy and practice.
