Crises are becoming part of everyday life, so we need to be prepared to deal with them. This workshop is for Board Directors and C Suite Executives who have the liability and responsibility of the safety and security of their employees and customers, as well as the assets and the reputation of the organization. In a crisis, it is the CEO and the Board Directors who face the media so learning how to manage crisis communications and being prepared are critical.

Facilitator – Dr Bert van Walbeek
Dr. Bert van Walbeek has been a Motivator and a Master of Disaster for over 25 years and a lecturer for 15 years. He actively advocates pro-active risk reduction and re-active crisis management as well as the need for rapid recovery support planning on all levels. He is also well-known as a speaker at many industrial and academic conferences and seminars, where his motivational and humorous manner of presentation are an inspiration for many. He is a renowned guest lecturer at Universities in China, Bangkok, Germany, Macau, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. He created the crisis awareness brochure “ Expect the Unexpected “ , various educational & training modules on Risk Reduction and Recovery Management and co-authored with Dr. David Beirman the PATA publication “ Bounce Back “. His company, The Winning Edge, is presently handling Crisis Prevention and Recovery Management projects in Bahrain, China (PRC), Taiwan, Macau (SAR), Mauritius and, of course, Thailand.
