Crises are becoming part of everyday life, so we need to be prepared to deal with them. This workshop is for Board Directors and C Suite Executives who have the liability and responsibility of the safety and security of their employees and customers, as well as the assets and the reputation of the organization. In a crisis, it is the CEO and the Board Directors who face the media so learning how to manage crisis communications and being prepared are critical.

Dr Bert van Walbeek
Dr. Bert van Walbeek has been an Hotelier for 45 years and Marketer of Tourism for 35 years, a Motivator and a Master of Disaster since 25 years and a lecturer for 15 years
He is actively advocating pro-active risk reduction and re-active crisis management as well as the need for rapid recovery support planning on all levels, from vocational employees to leading executives and from Destination Marketing Organizations & Authorities to International Headquarters.
He is also well-know as a speaker at many industrial and academic conferences and seminars, where his motivational and humorous manner of presentation were an inspiration for executives of like UNWTO, PATA, APEC and WTI . He is a renowned guest lecturer at Universities in China, Bangkok, Germany, Macau, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Taiwan and the United Kingdom
He created the crisis awareness brochure “ Expect the Unexpected “ , various educational & training modules on Risk Reduction and Recovery Management and co-authored with Dr. David Beirman the PATA publication “ Bounce Back “.
His company, The Winning Edge, is presently handling Crisis Prevention and Recovery Management projects in Bahrain, China (PRC), Taiwan, Macau (SAR), Mauritius and, of course, Thailand.
