Managing Conflict of Interest Workshop
30 October 2018
Board members have a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the organization that they serve in an ethical manner. Some aspects of good governance, such as the management of a conflict of interest, are based on the circumstances and can involve a subjective assessment. Regulations require directors to declare their interests, so it is important to know how to manage this complex area.
This 1 day interactive workshop will cover:
- What constitutes a conflict of interest
- Case studies and examples of conflicts of interest
- Boards and Directors Roles and Responsibilities in relation to such conflicts
- Legal Duties of Boards
- Dealing with dilemmas: practical steps for managing conflicts of interest
